Slow Dance
The room is dark, lights flashing in a sea of colors.  Bodies close together, causing sudden heat.  Your eyes watch me, sparkling with curiosity.  Fast beast and wild moves, everyone looks like animals.  Unexpected, the music turns soft.  We all need a break, to catch our breath.  I watch your eyes shine, like nothing I've ever seen before.  Inward, your body turns close to mine.  You whisper to me, "Can I have this dance?" I catch myself smiling as my faces turns a pinkish hue.  Good thing it's dark in here.  I barley have time to respond before your arm is around me, guiding my hips towards you.  "The world stops when I put my arms around you.  And nothing even matters."  Your slightly taller than I am, but it works while we dance.  I look up at your flirty grin, with my arms around your neck.  I know what you're thinking, and I know what you want.  Our lips meet, a soft kiss, as you hold me in your arms.  The music fades into a faster song, time returns to normal, our moment becoming just another memory.  You lean in for another quick peck, holding my hand.  You guide me aside, and ask me the question I've been begging to hear.  "Will you be my girlfriend?" A smile takes over my face, and I don't need to answer.  Instead, I pull your face towards my own, answering your question, sealed with a kiss.
